Hey guys, sorry about the lack of content for the last couple weeks. I was on vacation and then when I got home, shit hit the fan for a while.
As many of you know, I help run the social media for LPNH. We put out a tweet on August 25th, the fourth anniversary of John McCain’s death and titled it “Happy Holidays.”
Now this tweet set off an absolute shit storm, with establishment figures from the left and right coming out of the woodwork to condemn us and to remind us that John McCain was in fact, a war hero who deserves the respect of both sides.
John McCain was a war criminal, not just a warmonger who supported every intervention and every military action of his lifetime, but a man who was instrumental in the planning for the Iraq invasion of 2003, performed as a liaison to terrorist groups in Syria and neo-nazi groups in Ukraine, and whose daughter spent years on The View spewing his war propaganda from a pulpit designed to normalize housewives and soccer moms to neoconservatism. I believe these are the most evil people alive on the planet, and only shocking people into a discussion about their wickedness will change anything.
LPNH has been well known to turn heads with its provocative messaging, and to similarly draw the ire of many a critic. However what we were successful in was making it into multiple nationwide news sources, getting mentioned on CNN, and getting interviews that landed us a spot in local newspapers promoting our candidates and the Free State Project. We also shocked hundreds of people into asking why we would tweet something so tasteless about the McCain family, which we and hundreds of other accounts replied with lists of his war crimes.
Ironically, many Trump supporters who continually point to the fact that they would rather have better policies with mean tweets came out of the woodwork to condemn us and Kyle Matovcik did a great job of exposing them.
LPNH is planning to continue the spicy tweets and push the boundaries of acceptable speech, and try to start the conversations that others aren’t able to shock people into.
After the drama from the tweets blew over, I took a trip down to Washington D.C. in my tiny 2 door Honda Civiv with heavy set Eric Jackman and 6 foot 10 Adam Fitzgerald, and met up with Dave Decamp and Patrick MacFarlane for a Ron Paul Institute event.
The trip down was tight but adventurous and the conversation and laughs surrounding the event were not to be missed. Lots of talk about Israeli and Saudi involvement in 9/11, and how the China hawking was rapidly becoming the biggest problem of our day when it comes to being anti war.
The event was great with speeches from Jacob Hornberger, Jeff Deist and Doug McGregor, and of course the great man himself, Ron Paul. The events put on by the institute are one of the few places where I don’t feel like a misfit, where everyone hates the state and doesn’t want to go to war with China or with Russia.
We had a good trip back north, with many a 9/11 inside joke and only a couple bathroom stops. After returning home, though quite weary, we did a Four Horsemen episode with Phil Labonte.
Lots has gone on these past few weeks, and I think it’s been interesting to see how different people have reacted. I have certainly learned a lot myself and I plan to go forward accordingly.
I deleted Twitter so I cannot respond to the tweet.. the mean tweets should continue. Americans are fucking morons and if the television won’t tell us what we’re supporting by not being vehemently against it, we should be the biggest assholes on the planet, knocking on their brains saying “look at the little girl you just blew up.” People are despicable.
It’s not happening to you, to your neighbors, in your county, so it doesn’t matter. This is like child trafficking. It didn’t just go away with Jeffery Epstein. 🤬🤬🤬🤬☢️🥺😭
The trip was fantastic and i couldnt thank you enough for inviting me Reed and props to Eric Jackman who is a fantastic impressionist. Both of you are really awesome people.
